Biography
Lynne Jonell is the author of 17 books for children, all with elements of fantasy. Winner of the Minnesota Book Award for Emmy & the Incredible Shrinking Rat, her books have received starred reviews in Publishers Weekly, School Library Journal, Kirkus, Horn Book, VOYA, Booklist, and Smithsonian. She does a webcomic for Bookology magazine and lives with her husband in Plymouth, Minnesota. Her most recent novel, Time Sight, is set at a castle in Scotland. While she does not write specifically for the Christian market, she finds that elements of her faith seem to consistently show up in her books…surprise! Visit Lynne's website here.

Manuscript problems often show up in the first two pages. Drawing from anonymously submitted class samples, Lynne Jonell will highlight what is working, what is not, and demonstrate concrete ways to fix common problems.
