The Northwestern Christian Writers Conference seeks to honor distinguished writing and talent at the conference in the presence of one's peers.
Awards will be presented to the winners at the end of the conference. This year, there are 5 awards in which conference registrants may submit entries. As long as a submission fits the criteria, you can submit the same piece for multiple awards.

- One entry per person.
- 750-1000 words. Double-spaced, 12-point font, numbered pages.
- Submission must be unpublished, original work that has not won any previous accolades.
- Your sample must be underscored by a story or passage from Scripture and/or you must have eloquently woven Scripture into your writing sample in a way that’s more subtle but still clear.
- Use your voice to humbly encourage and equip the reader. Don’t condescend or preach. Refrain from an angry or adversarial tone. Not to say we want a softball approach to tough topics—don’t be afraid to call us up, challenge our unbelief, or confront our fears. But do so in a passionate way that inspires growth, not defensiveness
- You must be registered for the Northwestern Christian Writers Conference.
- Deadline: May 15, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. CST
